The Planteray Grande Réserve opens with a complex and inviting nose dominated by grilled coconut, toasted wood, and a distinct bourbon-like vanilla. As it breathes, you’ll notice lighter, floral notes of honey and white peach emerging through the oak. On the palate, the experience is remarkably smooth and medium-bodied; it begins with a burst of tropical candied fruits—think dried pineapple and apricot—before evolving into richer flavors of creamy butterscotch and hazelnut. The finish is clean and lingering, leaving behind a gentle warmth characterized by delicate tannins from the French oak and a final, subtle whisper of black pepper and salted caramel.
