First Third: The smoke begins with an instantly approachable, sweet, and aromatic introduction. Flavors of dark molasses, weathered cedar wood, and a distinct tanginess hit the palate, complemented by a soft baseline of dried fruit. The early retrohale is smooth, leaving a faint hint of sweet spices rather than a sharp pepper sting.
Second Third: Moving into the main core of the heavy barrel, the profile takes on a deeper, more unctuous quality. Notes of dark-roasted espresso beans combine with an intriguing herbal layer and a touch of earthiness, while a sugary glaze coats the lips from the wrapper leaf.
Final Third: The conclusion scales up into a rich, full-bodied presence without accumulating bitter oils. Deeper elements of dark baker's cocoa dust, dry oak timber, and a shifting wave of warm baking spice linger on the tongue, completing a long, balanced, and deeply savory finish.
