Plasencia Cigars, the leading producer of premium cigars and the largest producer of tobacco in Central America, was awarded 1st place in a consumer cigar blind tasting held by Manuel’s, one of the finest and most renowned cigar shops in Zürich, Switzerland. The award was conferred for its Alma del Campo Tribu cigar, one of the company's first brand name cigars to be introduced to the market.
Plasencias goal is to use the best leaves of aged tobacco exclusively in their cigars leaving them in the hands of the best collaborators in the fields and artists of the factories.

DOMINIQUE SELECCION 2026
The Dominique Seleccion is famous for its "volcanic" character, offering a deep, earthy foundation balanced by high-altitude sweetness.
First Third: An immediate "spicy start" dominated by black pepper and ground cinnamon. The retrohale is sharp and invigorating, typical of Plasencia’s high-priming leaf selection.
Second Third: The pepper remains as a background hum, while a distinct oaty and toasted grain flavor emerges. A subtle sweetness, reminiscent of dried figs, begins to balance the spice.
Final Third: The finish is long and luxurious. The sweetness transitions into deep caramel and buttery toast, while the volcanic Ometepe leaves provide a final, savory note of charred oak and rich earth.
