The Undercrown Maduro Robusto opens with a dense, chewy profile characterized by immediate notes of dark cocoa and roasted espresso beans. The Mexican San Andrés wrapper provides a gritty, earthy sweetness that balances a persistent undercurrent of black pepper and savory leather. As the cigar progresses through the second third, the spice mellows into a creamy, nut-like richness—reminiscent of toasted almonds—while the finish leaves a lingering hint of dried fruit and wood on the palate. Despite its strength, the smoke remains velvety and "slick," delivering a robust, full-flavored experience without the aggressive bite often found in younger Maduro blends.
