The Lost City is often described as the "sophisticated cousin" to the standard Opus X. It trades raw power and intense spice for creamy complexity.
First Third: A very smooth opening of cedar, cashews, and white pepper. There is a delicate sweetness that hints at caramelized sugar.
Second Third: The profile becomes richer and more aromatic. Notes of cinnamon, toasted bread, and a distinct cherry-like fruitiness emerge. The smoke texture is exceptionally creamy and "chewy."
Final Third: The finish is elegant and long-lasting. Savory notes of leather and rich earth take center stage, accented by a return of the baking spices on the retrohale.
